A Salute to the Troops with Pomp and Pageantry
Palo Alto, CA
For the second consecutive year, PRP was pleased to be back working with President Dave Kaval and the San Jose Earthquakes Team on their “Salute to the Troops Halftime Show” during the Cali Classico match. Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto, California was the site of a spectacular live production that wowed a crowd of over 50,000 with patriotic pomp and pageantry. To honor the United States Armed Forces, over 500 troops from each of its five branches took part in the spectacle which also included large “Stars and Stripes” helium balloons, a rousing performance of “America the Beautiful” and a stadium-flying air ship carrying a massive American flag high over the historic stadium.
The halftime show was just the beginning of a very exciting match for Quake fans. Earthquakes’ Shea Salinas and Alan Gordon scored in second-half injury time to give the 10-man San Jose Earthquakes a shocking 3-2 victory against the LA Galaxy.
