Experience BC at Robson Square Vancouver 2010 Olympics

You gotta be here

PRP worked closely with the Government of BC to promote the province to the world through Experience BC at Robson Square during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

THE GOAL

The goal was clear: draw visitors to the downtown Vancouver pavillion, showcase local talent, generate pride in British Columbians, and position BC on both a national and international stage in the wake of the Games. PRP was enlisted to execute a large-scale event activation that would transform Robson Square into an accessible, family-friendly experience that encouraged repeat visits.

THE APPROACH

Programming highlights included an original musical on ice featuring the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Mascots, as well as a nightly pyro-musical finale which combined stunning visual technology and amazing acrobatics. This awe-inspiring show amplified the guest experience with world-class entertainment and encouraged visitors to engage with the Vancouver 2010 brand in a unique and exciting way.
The result? The event exemplified BC as a premier destination for trade, business and tourism. Hailed as “Vancouver’s biggest street party ever”, Experience BC at Robson Square served as an exciting focal point for celebration and Olympic spirit for over half a million visitors over its 17-day run.
