March 9, 2014

Montreal – Patrick Roberge Productions (PRP) was excited to work with the National Organizing Committee of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 to stage the Official Draw in Montreal, Quebec. A major milestone in the events leading up to Canada hosting the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015, sixteen teams were organized into groups of four for the final competition.

Held once every two years, the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is an international football tournament for women’s national teams aged 20 and under. Previously held in Japan and Germany, the tournament represents the highest level of international competition for football athletes within this age bracket. Canada’s-own Christine Sinclair is among the notable award-winning alumni of the tournament.

Thank you to Jacinthe Taillon, Eva Avila, Effusion and The Royal Canadian Mounted Police for bringing their style and pageantry to the event.

FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 will be held in four different cities across the nation: Edmonton, Alberta; Moncton, New Brunswick; Montreal, Quebec; and Toronto, Ontario.

Canada will open the tournament against Ghana at Toronto’s BMO Field on August 5th, then meet Finland at BMO Field on August 8th before traveling to Montreal to meet North Korea at Olympic Stadium on August 12th. Throughout the month of August, sixteen Qualifiers will compete for a spot in the Final Match, which will take place August 24th, 2014 in Montreal, Quebec.
