Vancouver Santa Claus Parade Presented by Telus

THE GOAL

The annual Vancouver Santa Claus Parade is the city’s biggest Christmas celebration, with over 300,000 people gathering in downtown Vancouver for holiday fun. PRP’s goal is to elevate the title sponsor’s brand with themed entertainment, fabrication and art direction, providing families and kids with a memorable Christmas experience while also expanding the corporate sponsors’ footprint with an engaged and captivated audience.

THE APPROACH

Pre-parade, guests gathered in Christmas Square for holiday activities and festivities; PRP animated the pavilion with choreographed, costumed performers providing fun photo opportunities and social media engagement. These larger-than-life mascots were emblazoned with Telus brand colours; they also joined the parade, bringing holiday magic to the Telus float – also known as Santa Claus’ sleigh.

After the parade, guests were invited to take photos with Santa. PRP provided art direction, fabrication and themed decor for this space, bringing it to life with classic Christmas set pieces that were tastefully accented with Telus brand colours. Countless families kicked off the holiday season in an unforgettable fashion!
