2023 World Police and Fire Games Opening Ceremony

Held biennially, the WPFG are an Olympic-style competition that attracted over 5000 athletes representing law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders from over 50 countries. The Opening Ceremony started with a high energy street parade leading the athletes directly into the venue to the sound of cheers as they paraded across the floor to their seats. Protocol segments were seamlessly integrated with creative musical segments curated to keep the energy high and of interest to the demographic. The evening ended with the arrival of the torch that was brought into the venue via a rappelling team of Fire, Police and RCMP members and then traveled as a relay course on the floor involving Police K-9 units, Paramedic personelle, First responder motorcycle and ATV units.
