The 102nd Grey Cup was a great weekend of festivities in Vancouver and PRP was proud to be part of the action! PRP produced the SiriusXM Grey Cup Kickoff Show and the 102nd Grey Cup Halftime show along with other Grey Cup events: the Save On Foods 102nd Grey Cup Parade and the annual Canadian Football League Commissioner’s Brunch.
The SiriusXm Grey Cup Kickoff Show featured Canadian country-rock recording artist Dallas Smith, joined on-field by over 250 choreographed performers, including members from each CFL Cheer Team. The national anthem was sung by Canada’s-own Nikki Yanofsky, who was accompanied by 102 members of the Coastal Sound Music Academy.
The Grey Cup Halftime Show rocked with a performance by the multi-platnium, Grammy-award winning Imagine Dragons, who performed a medley of their top hits while over 400 fans flooded the field.
Events earlier in the weekend included the Save On Foods 102nd Grey Cup Parade. With a theme of “Rock and Roar”, the Grey Cup Parade rocked through the streets of downtown Vancouver and featured CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon; over 2200 performers and participants, including mini Elvis and Beatles dancers; Dal Richards; Red Robinson; members of the CFL Cheer Teams; the Booze Brothers; and, of course, the Grey Cup itself.
PRP would like to thank Imagine Dragons; Nikki Yanofsky; Dallas Smith; the Grey Cup Festival team; the hundreds of volunteers, cast, crew and suppliers; TSN; BC Place; and the entire team at the CFL for everyone’s hard work and assistance in making the Grey Cup shows such as success.
