Vancouver, BC – July 2, 2024 – Patrick Roberge Productions Inc. (PRP), a leading producer of innovative and engaging live entertainment and experiences, is thrilled to announce the promotions of Angela Steidel to Director of Operations and Hannah Abbott to Technical Director. These strategic promotions are a testament to their exceptional contributions and commitment to the company’s success.
Angela Steidel – Director of Operations
Angela Steidel, formerly Operations Manager, has been a pivotal full-time member of the PRP team since 2019. In her new role as Director of Operations, Angela will manage the day-to-day running of business operations as well as provide leadership in long term planning and growth for PRP. Her attention to detail, quick problem-solving skills, and ability to create process improvements ensure that PRP continuously enhances best practices.
With a background in theatre operations spanning well over a decade, Angela has extensive experience in managing logistics and teams for various large-scale events. She began her journey with PRP as production runner and quickly advanced into vital production roles. Among her most memorable contributions on PRP events have included leading the Operations and Logistics of the Pacific National Exhibition Fair Entertainment and running the Production office for the 106th Grey Cup Halftime Show and the PEI Canada Winter Games.
“Angela’s promotion to Director of Operations reflects her outstanding leadership and her ability to deliver exceptional results,” said Patrick Roberge, President of PRP. “Her strategic vision and operational expertise will continue to propel PRP forward as we expand our portfolio and take on new challenges.”
Hannah Abbott – Technical Director
Hannah Abbott, who has served as Assistant Technical Director, is now promoted to Technical Director. With over a decade of experience in technical production and a proven track record of managing complex projects, Hannah will lead PRP’s technical team in delivering cutting-edge solutions for live events and productions. She lends her skills to the creation of technical drawings and production visualizations, as well as assisting with the supervision and execution of projects from start to finish.
Hannah holds a master’s degree in Technical Direction from the University of British Columbia, where she created the foundation for new safety standards in manual counterweight rigging. She loves combining her passion for production and sport in some of her most memorable projects with PRP, such as the last three Grey Cup Halftime Shows and the Canada Games in both Niagara and PEI.
“Hannah’s promotion to Technical Director is a recognition of her exceptional technical skills, and her positive leadership style,” added Nik von Schulmann, PRP Managing Director. “Her ability to navigate the complexities of technical production and her commitment to excellence make her the perfect fit for this role.”
