POSITION DESCRIPTION

If you can juggle spreadsheets like a pro and love the buzz of live events, this is your chance to shine!  This isn’t just crunching numbers; it’s being a vital part of a team that brings unforgettable experiences to life. This is a role that calls for someone who is self-motivated, dynamic, and highly organized, who will effectively work with internal and external stakeholders and develop the most efficient ways to run the PRP office. This position will be responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative operations, ensuring smooth business continuity during the leave period.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Authentically represent PRP’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Liaise with Managing Director regarding business administrative activities and strategic financial goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day running on business administration, including AP, AR, Payroll, WCB, Budgets, Cash Flow, and Month End to ensure smooth progress.
  • Ensure appropriate financial, legal, insurance, human resources, and technology structures to support projects.
  • With Managing Director, review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Ensure that the organizational accounting system (Quickbooks) provides quick access to financial information and enables strategic budgeting.
  • Process and manage employee expense reports.
  • With Managing Director, manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, with external clients, partners, vendors, and performers.
  • Manage agreements with external clients, partners, vendors, and performers.
  • Facilitate work permits and visas for staff, cast, and crew.
  • Ensure appropriate business insurance: procurement, monitoring, and management.
  • Ensure the ongoing maintenance and updating on information systems, hardware, and infrastructure.
  • Other duties as required.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess personal values alignment with PRP.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar finance and administration role
  • Experience in the Entertainment Industry is a plus
  • Strong understanding of show development, creative, and production processes.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive – professionalism, high energy, patience, hard work, and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to explain PRP’s work and represent the organization to external audiences.
  • Possess strong organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative team player and establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse team of staff, clients, performers, and volunteers.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience motivating, leading, and delegating people.
  • Solid and unique problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to come up with innovative and creative ideas.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and act decisively under pressure.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and exercises diplomacy and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and strong client relations are essential.
  • Willingness to travel.
