PRP was proud to work with the Canadian Football League (CFL) and TSN for the seventh consecutive year on the 104th Grey Cup, producing the SiriusXM Kickoff Show, the Freedom Mobile Halftime Show and the Grey Cup Trophy Presentation.
Juno-award winning singer/songwriter Alessia Cara kicked-off the event at BMO Field in Toronto, performing three hit singles during the SiriusXM Grey Cup Kickoff Show as over 250 CFL cheerleaders performed a choreographed routine on field and a massive card stunt took over an entire side of the stadium. Following team introductions, over 100 members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) filled the field and The Tenors performed a stirring rendition of the Canadian national anthem, capped off with a stunning CF-18 flyover.
Grammy-nominated, award-winning rock group OneRepublic headlined the Freedom Mobile Halftime Show with a medley of some of their biggest hits: Counting Stars, Love Runs Out and Let’s Hurt Tonight. The stadium came to life as over 300 performers in custom-designed LED jackets created a stunning light display on field. Fans in attendance became part of the show with incredible, interactive lighting that turned BMO Field into an immersive experience, blurring the line between audience and stage.
Broadcast live to millions of fans, the 104th Grey Cup presented by Shaw was watched by 10 million unique viewers, nearly 30% of Canadians, including an average audience of 3.5 million viewers on TSN and RDS during the Freedom Mobile Grey Cup Halftime show.
PRP would like to thank the team at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment; the volunteers, cast, crew and suppliers; TSN/RDS; the Toronto Argonauts; BMO Field; and the entire team at the CFL.
