TORONTO – PRP is once again looking forward to working with the Canadian Football League, TSN and RDS as we celebrate the 101st Grey Cup in Regina. For the fourth consecutive year, PRP will produce the SiriusXM Halftime Show as well as the Opening Ceremony and Trophy Presentation this November.
The biggest party in Canada will feature multiplatinum pop group Hedley in this year’s SiriusXM Grey Cup Halftime Show, Saskatchewan’s own The Sheepdogs rocking the opening ceremonies, and Serena Ryder performing the national anthem, the Canadian Football League announced today.
“We are so proud of the all-Canadian music line-up that will make the 101st Grey Cup a blast for Canadian music fans as well as Canadian football fans,” said Mark Cohon, Commissioner of the Canadian Football League.
“The Grey Cup is an icon that brings our nation together because it gives a rare opportunity to celebrate what is uniquely and proudly Canadian – including some of the best musical talent in the world.”
“We are very excited to once again present the SiriusXM Grey Cup Halftime Show,” said Paul Cunningham, SVP, Sales and Marketing, SiriusXM Canada. Coming off the success of the show during the 100th Grey Cup last year, we’re looking forward to Regina and an always exhilarating performance by Hedley, one of Canada’s biggest bands.”
This year’s Grey Cup game, the national championship of Canadian professional football, will be played on Sunday, November 24th at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan, the home of Rider Pride.
“We’re thrilled to be part of the SiriusXM Grey Cup Half-Time Show,” said frontman Jacob Hoggard. “It doesn’t get any bigger in Canada than the Grey Cup, and we can’t wait to entertain our fans and football fans on such an exciting stage.”
The 101st Grey Cup game will be broadcast live on TSN and RDS, and on NBC Sports Network in the United States. It can also be heard on TSN Radio and SiriusXM. In addition to the game, TSN and RDS will also broadcast the opening ceremonies, including the performances by The Sheepdogs and Serena Ryder.
