Toronto Argonauts Season Home Opener Pre-Game Ceremony

Celebrating a Historic Home Opener

June 2016

Toronto ON

PRP was proud to be a part of the team for the Toronto Argonauts Season Home Opener Pre-Game Ceremony for a truly historic match. An event of #NewBeginnings, this was the Argos’ inaugural game at the newly renovated BMO Field, celebrated with a huge on-field spectacle that included a mass choreographed dance team of over two hundred performers; the Argos Cheer team; and a three hundred and fifty piece marching Band. This was also the first time the new version of the Canadian anthem was sung on live broadcast at a major sport event, performed by Canadian music artist and Hedley lead singer, Jacob Hoggard. The Royal Regiment of Canada and the 48th Highland Regiment flag party and honour guard joined on-field during the anthem and a flyover from a Royal Canadian Airforce CC 130 Hercules aircraft made this a truly memorable event. This game also offered the debut of the Argo canon, ready to pump up the already-excited fans in attendance and set to remain a staple at all Argo’s home games moving forward.
