PRP to Produce Ceremonies for 2015, 2017 and 2019 Canada Games

February 3, 2014

PRP is proud to be named Ceremony Producer for next three consecutive Canada Games. Beginning in Prince George in 2015, PRP will produce both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 2015, 2017 and 2019 Canada Games.

Held every two years, the Canada Games provide unparalleled opportunity to young athletes competing at the highest level of national competition. PRP has had the honour of producing Opening and Closing Ceremonies for two previous Canada Games including the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse and the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax.

“Our team is delighted and very much looks forward to working with the local organizing committees to create ceremonies that will celebrate the athletic and cultural talents across the country” said Patrick Roberge, President and Creative Director of PRP.

‘‘The Canada Games Council is thrilled to announce that PRP is the Ceremony Producer of the next three editions of the Canada Games’’ says Tom Quinn, Chairman of the Canada Games Council. ‘‘The wealth of experience and high pedigree of professionalism that PRP brings will certainly ensure that our ceremonies continue to be a focal point of the Games.’’

“I’m fortunate to have worked with Patrick Roberge in the past and I know the spectacular work he and his team are capable of, having produced numerous events including the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, 2007 Canada Winter Games and 2011 Canada Winter Games Opening & Closing Ceremonies,” says Stuart Ballantyne, CEO, 2015 Canada Winter Games. “We look forward to hosting him here in Prince George as Patrick Roberge and his team help us tell the nation our northern story. In 2015, it will be Prince George and Northern BC’s turn to leave our tracks, and journey with PRP.”
